FEATURE : February 05 2008 – Tim’s CD7 Accord

•February 4, 2008 • 1 Comment
Well I figured better get this feature stuff rolling in the right direction. What other way to do it than go with a car you once had. A few years back I owned a 1997 Honda Accord sedan and I just fell in love with it. I still vow to this day I will own another one. In early 2006 I stumbled across Tim’s Accord on Jspek.com. Love at first sight (or post for you web forum junkies). This car really stands out due to the fact that many 5th Generation Accords aren’t built well as this one. So one evening after work I chatted with Timbo and asked him just a couple questions about this gem.
BH – So Tim what was the main focus behind this car? And how do you think you fit into the Atlanta scene?
TP – Handling. The fact that I’m a visual person (artist), but also a speed freak helped out to an extent. So I wanted something that looked the way I wanted it to, and drove how I wanted it. Basically I just wanted to push the Accord as far as I could, but keep it clean and subtle. I don’t really getinto the scene. I have the best Accord though.
BH – Best Accord you say?
TP – I win NOPI.
BH – Did the JDM fad influence you at all?
TP – I started building my car in 2002. Which was a little bit before that caught on really hard. Before anyone around here at least knew what that really was. I’ve tried to keep it clean ever since the day I acquired it. Its daily driven HARD…I mean real hard.
BH – So you are basically the calm of the storm for those poorly modified other Accords?
TP – I’m not saying that, but that my car has more function then most other cars out there. Funny thing is….I will bet I could beat most of them. Take’em to the mountains. Nope forget it.
BH – So do you want to tell me about your family, DSR?
TP – LOL. DSR is my friends. We keep in contact no matter what. We support each other. Even though a lot of us live in other states, we still keep in touch. When we can we meet up…FAMILY. Really!
BH – As I know a few people from DSR myself all I can say is you and the rest of them leave me waiting anxiously for some reveals of what’s to come. Thanks for your time, and have a good one Tim.
TP – O only if we had more time I’d go into to far greater detail. Thanks Brad and you do the same.

Here are some random photos Tim has taken

That is right by the looks of these pictures the infamous HKS Time Attack car is available in a stripped down version. Approximately going for $57,000 this is one car I’d like to see on a BMI video.

Ericcson has gone and done it

With horsepower in the higher 400′s Ericcson has really outdone their-self with this BMW. The E92 M3 really catches my eye. Normally I do not give BMW a second look, but this one just carries a big punch. Rumor says thatBulletproof Automotive will be able to get this aerodynamics package
